Gary became Christian at Hong Kong Peace Evangelical Centre in 1976. He married with Serah at 23 years old and the couple serve together. In 1988, their eldest son was born and in 1990, they immigrated to New Zealand with a mission heart. In 1992, their second son was born and they served while they worked until 2002. Gary then studied in seminary and became a full time missionary after graduation.

Serah was born in Hong Kong. She became Christian at 20 years old. In 2002, she was called with Gary as a full time servant to God. She graduated from seminary in 2006. The couple joined CCMA in 2005 and became rural missionaries since then.
