Mother Church: The Mission Covenant Church Oriental Church

From the day Clara devoted to God, she never thought of being a missionary. She only planned to minister the church after finishing Theology studies. However, God led her to a seminary with strong mission background. With all the mission studies, mission fellowship, mission teachers and communications with fellow students, she started to open her eyes to mission field.

Increasing her knowledge to mission doesn't mean that she has the burden on it. She didn't open her heart to mission until she joined a group of mission students who regularly prayed for missionaries. Mission becomes more than knowledge in her head. The holy spirit challenges her with numerous questions. During that summer holiday, she joined a 2 months' short term mission and she confirmed God's calling to be a missionary in this trip.

After graduation from seminary, Clara served in a church with strong mission background. There she learned serving technique, interpersonal skill and personal growth. In these 8 years of service, it helps to prepare her to go for future mission journey.

With many years of waiting, praying and ministering, God finally let her see the needs in Latin America. There are many Chinese and their next generation but there are less than 15 missionaries serving them. Not only do the Chinese experience cultural shock, language barrier and working difficulties, they also feel the emptiness in soul and questions in the meaning of life! Just like Chinese in Ecuador, they never heard of Gospel. They just spend their days in gambling and different money problems, leading a hopeless lives!
