40/70 Window - the Other 10/40 Window
Perhaps, you don't know but there is a new emphasis in End-Time Harvest. It is the 40/70 Window. This is identified as the Christian world north of the 10/40 Window. The 40/70 Window "bears the distinction of 3 (three) major religious bodies of Christian origin; Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Protestantism". These groups are deeply divided theologically, as well as ethnically and historically. Even though this area claims Christ as a central figure, he is very much only a figurehead as the monarchy ¡V A CROWN WITH NO POWER.
The 40/70 Window is an area in bondage to a religious system. The prayer thrust into the 40/70 Window is for those claiming to be Christians but in denial to the power of God in their life to "be born again."
The world history in the last ten years has provided the church with a unique opportunities in another region of the world, called by some, the "Other 10/40 window" or the "40/70 window". This is the geographic region from Europe in the west to Russia and the "stan" countries of the Silk Road in the east.
Wagner states that the, "greatest challenge facing the global mission movement in the coming decade is to evangelize this 40/70 window". Communism has fallen and the walls have come down, but did you know?
There are proportionately fewer born-again Christians in Poland than in Nepal
In the Czech Republic evangelicals number fewer than .5% of population, again less than found in some countries of the traditional 10/40 window.
Three times more Satanic Priests than ministers of any kind in Berlin alone.
This Other 10/40 Window has 770 million people, 95% of whom are without a personal relationship with Christ.
In Germany, which is considered a "Christian" country, there are
the most registered atheists of any country in the world
Over 50% of the population in the East who consider themselves atheist
55.4% of the population under 24 years who old believe on nothing
These once "sending" nations are now a mission field.
"The church under Communism was in a survival mode, inward looking and withdrawn into its own subculture. The church must live and proclaim a Gospel that is both attractive and relevant to the community around it" (Eastern Europe: Since the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Dec 1999).
Generations have been taught there is no God or at best that He is irrelevant, consequently there are few spiritual fathers and those who can raise up another godly generation. But there is a new generation of leaders emerging who were not under the slavery of communism and are interested more in reality than materialism and the glitter of the West. Those who have chosen to stay are planting churches and desire to be trained. As in other regions of the world, we needed to develop relevant models of how to equip those desiring training.
