If Doors Can Speak...

We use doors everyday without thinking about it.
We open the bedroom door and close the bathroom door.
We open the front door and close the car door.
We push through the reviving door and close the office door.

All doors are created with the purpose of opening and closing.
It serves as an entrance or exit from one space to another.
There are wooden doors, glass doors, paper doors, and steel doors.
Some doors can turn, fold, or slide, others have windows and locks.

A door was created to be use by some or by one.
An opened door could be a sign of welcome.
A closed door could mean privacy is needed.
A locked door can provide protection.

Here is a door, no knob, no lock, broken, neglected,
……but it is still a door, standing at its post,
……trying to do the job it was created to do,
……perhaps waiting for its master’s return.

If this door can speak, it could sound very human:
Why has this happened to me?
Why didn’t you protect me?
Why have you forsaken me?
